My latest drawing is of my daughter Libby and our pet cat Norman which I on and off over 4 or 5 days. Here's a number of pics of the work as it progressed and the photo it was based on.
So my son had been asking me to do a Hogwarts mural on his bedroom wall for some time and I have finally done it. I had a great time working on it with him, he had a strong idea of what he wanted including finding some way to display his wands over the top of the mural which we've sorted, you can see the wands if you look carefully. I'm really pleased with the overall effect especially as I'm not used to painting across a whole wall which was quite a challenge for me.
We're not expecting JK Rowling to visit anytime soon but if she does we'll show her the mural and post her comments here :)
In the meantime if you like the look of this and know anyone that would like to have one in their house I'd be happy to discuss. #HarryPotter #JKRowling #Hogwarts #Murals #HomeDecor
Hair can be such a tricky part of your drawing and so I took a look at Youtube to see if there are any useful videos. Of course I was not disappointed, there are tons. I've shared a couple here which I thought were particularly helpful, see what you think and please let me know if you find any other good ones.
Firstly here's a video from the very talented Stan Prokopenko
Secondly a video by another huge talent Wei Ho, I hope you find these useful :)
